Anglican Church of Canada Mission Statement
As a partner in the worldwide Anglican Communion and in the universal Church, we proclaim and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ in worship and action.
We value our heritage of biblical faith, reason, liturgy, tradition, bishops and synods, and the rich variety of our life in community.
We acknowledge that God is calling us to greater diversity of membership, wider participation in ministry and leadership, better stewardship in God’s creation and a stronger resolve in challenging attitudes and structures that cause injustice.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to respond to this call in love and service and so more fully live the life of Christ.

Lifelong Learning
Education and learning to build faith and spirituality take many forms at the Cathedral. Education can be formal and/or informal. Learning can be gained by study and/or experience.
Lifelong learning opportunities at the Cathedral begin at an early age:
- The Sunday School/Children’s Ministry works with children three years and older. A nursery receives younger children.
- Youth are involved in all aspects of our community life in worship and service. Choristers receive a strong Christian education along with superb music instruction. Baptism and confirmation preparation is offered.
For adults, baptism preparation provides formation for those seeking initiation into the Body of Christ for themselves or their children. Anglican Faith, Bible Study and Book Review sessions, and Guided Reading Series are held regularly throughout the Liturgical Year.
